ROBERT GERGERICH – Director and Head Instructor
Bob is the Founder, President, Director, and Head Instructor of IHC Hockey, Inc., the International Hockey College and IHC Hockey Management. He has played professional hockey in Europe and in North America. He has also instructed and directed many schools throughout North America and Europe. He played his junior hockey in Canada and is a certified USA Hockey Master Hockey Coach. Bob is also an ISI certified hockey and skating instructor. He is the President of IHC Hockey Management, and a Professional Hockey Players Association (PHPA) certified Player Agent. Bob has placed many of his students on College, Junior, and Pro Teams. Bob was a Sports Management major in college and is a certified Nautilus instructor. He also weight trains and kick boxes, and writes many articles in hockey and fitness publications on instruction, conditioning, and exposure. Bob volunteers with the Mighty Penguin Sled Hockey Team and he is also on the Mighty Penguins Advisory Board. He plays Santa Claus for children under home health care and also volunteered to visit children and nursing homes with his former certified therapy dogs Angel and Halo. Bob scouts for many junior, college and pro teams and was a regional scout for the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League. He currently scouts for ISS Hockey and the North American Hockey League Central Scouting.
Brian Dunford – Assistant Instructor
“Dunny” has been with the IHC for over twenty five years as a student, and then as an instructor. Brian played high school hockey at Franklin Regional High School and won a gold medal in the Keystone State Games. Brian played junior hockey for the Junior Penguins (Jr. B), Boston Jr. Bulldogs (Jr. A), and the Laconia Leafs (Jr. A). Brian has played professional hockey for Toledo (ECHL), Pennsacola (SPHL), Evansville (AAHL), and also overseas in Turkey, Switzerland, and in New Zealand. Brian just recently played for the USA Hockey Ball Hockey over 35 National Team.
Feno Monaco – Assistant Instructor
Feno is a former student of the IHC Hockey program, and has returned to the program as an assistant instructor since 2016. Feno played high school hockey at Shady Side Academy and Mt. Lebanon High School. He has also played AAA hockey for the Esmark Stars and Pittsburgh Predators. Feno also played for the IHC Hockey AAA teams in the spring and summers. Feno is a student at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in pre-med.
Shomit Datta – Assistant Instructor/Tournament Team Coach
Shom is a native of Brantford, Ontario and resides in Toronto, Ontario. Shom came to our Pro Free Agent/Junior & College Exposure Camp in the early 90’s in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He played NCAA hockey at Hamline University in Minnesota and would spend his summers in Pittsburgh working at the IHC Hockey Schools. He then went to Europe to operate the IHC schools in Austria and played pro hockey in Austria. He also coached in Austria as well as in Hungary. In North America, Shom has coached at the NCAA college level, prep school level, and jr. college level. He was recently coaching at Appleby College a prestigious prep school in Toronto, and is presently working with Chinese National Teams in Finland.
Additional Staff consists of former IHC Students now playing Pro, College, Junior, or High School Hockey.
